The timing of this event was perfect! It allowed us to arrive, spend time socializing and playing, and then head out for a little night out downtown!
Upon arrival, we were given our free drink ticket and instructed to wander around to see the different rooms and games on display.
But first, naturally, we made our way to the drink table!
They were all quite yummy, but my drink of choice for the night was the Lady Boyd (gin for the win).
5 stars, and a big thank you to our bartender from The Gentleman Mobile Bar!
Exceptional service and expertly crafted cocktails.
Back to Vintage Game Night at Weymouth!
All I have to say is that there was no way we were going to use that Ouija board in an old home that is clearly haunted. I told my friends that if they even tried, I was out of there!
No voodoo home spirit conjuring for this girl! 🚫
That antique library, though...
They need to find a vintage Clue game because that is the perfect room for it.
Clearly, it was Colonel Mustard in the Library with the Candlestick!
We tried to play a bit of croquet.
It was minimally successful. I can't remember how, but three of us got distracted very quickly and walked off, leaving my friend's husband behind. He continued to play with some random people he met.
Random side note: I was told the table behind me makes it look like I'm wearing a cape. 😂
Don't mind me...
Apparently, I decided I was going for tropical vibes and missed the muted tones memo. 🙈
Oh, I remember what distracted us.
The garden!
While there were plenty of mosquitoes at this time of year, the blooming flowers and enchanting gardens made it truly magical.
Beside the gardens you can find this charming, whimsical cottage.
The next thing we knew, it was 8:00 pm, and we weren't ready to go home!
Note: We actually never even PLAYED ANY BOARD GAMES. I can't believe it, but we socialized and lost track of time (good lord). 2 1/2 hours goes by fast!
Weymouth is a short walk from Downtown, so off we went to Chapmans, where we ordered almost every appetizer on the menu.
Best decision ever (except for Kelly who was wearing heels...).
Then, our genius (and inebriated) selves decided that live music at The Bell Tree Tavern was an excellent idea. While I do regret drinking one more beer too many, the music was fun, and the atmosphere lively.
Worth ittttt.
Overall, it was a wonderful night. Everyone working was so kind and helpful. One of the ladies even took us on a small private tour! This is my second time attending an event at this venue, and I'm seriously considering becoming a member or a "Women of Weymouth."
They have a wide variety of exciting programs and events on the horizon.
Visit their website to see what they have to offer!
