Introduction: Peach Week Moore County, NC

In Moore County, peach season is a big deal, and the local community goes all out. From elegant Railroad Dinners to peach-inspired salads, sweet treats, themed murder mysteries aboard the Sandhills Trolley, and full-blown festivals—everywhere you turn, there’s a delicious nod to the season’s star fruit.

Inspired (and hungry), I made it my mission to sample as many peach-themed delights as I could. But to my dismay, I started way too late. By the time I joined over the weekend, many of the must-try experiences were already over. Lesson learned: next year, I’ll be planning much earlier to make the most of every tasty event!

You know me.

I love a good themed anything.

Stop 1: Maisonette

My planned first stop for Peach Week was The Sly Fox to try their Peach-Brined Pork Chop—but it turns out I wasn’t the only one with that idea. By the time I arrived on Thursday, it had already sold out! Lesson learned… next year, I’ll be starting much earlier.

So instead, my first official peach-themed indulgence came from Maisonette, where I treated myself to their Peach Cobbler Croissant and a Sweet Peach Boba Tea. The croissant (pictured above) was perfectly light and flaky with just the right touch of sweetness—exactly how I like it. The tea was crisp and refreshing, making it the perfect drink for a sweltering summer day.

A clear plastic cup of iced peach tea with visible fruit pulp at the bottom, served with a lid and featuring the minimalist white logo of a local café. The drink is placed on a wooden outdoor table with a sunny backdrop, including a parked car and shaded seating area.

If you prefer your tea on the sweeter side, I recommend adding a bit of sugar or honey—this one comes unsweetened by default! I'm unsure if this applies to all of their teas, but it's something to be aware of.

A refreshing yellow cocktail served over ice in a clear glass, topped with a swirl of whipped cream and a straw. The drink is set on a glossy dark table beside a glowing glass candle holder, with a softly lit restaurant ambiance in the background.

Stop 2: Ashten's

Big thanks to whoever recommended this gem from Ashten’s—you nailed it! The Moore County Peach & Gin Fizz was unlike anything I’ve ever had: made with fresh Moore County peach syrup, NC End of Days Port of Entry Vodka, a splash of lemon juice, soda water, and topped with a house-made peach creamsicle.

A close-up of a peach cinnamon roll served in a white takeout container. The roll is generously topped with cream cheese icing, a buttery crumble, and a fresh peach slice, all sitting on a granite countertop.

Stop 3: Bravery Bakehouse

There’s a new bakery in town and it’s already stealing hearts (and stomachs!)—Bravery Bakehouse is serving up some seriously irresistible treats, like this peach cinnamon roll I couldn’t stop eating!

Interior of a bakery with bold red and cream vertical striped walls, a modern gold chandelier with round globe lights, and a navy blue counter. Displayed under glass are assorted baked goods, with a menu highlighting cookies, bars, and cinnamon rolls. A pink and red aesthetic gives the space a cheerful, retro vibe.

Soft, gooey, and packed with peachy goodness—it’s a must-try if you’re in the area. Welcome to the neighborhood, Bravery Bakehouse!

Stop 4: Chick-fil-A

Okay, so this stop wasn’t exactly local… but I couldn’t resist swinging by Chick-fil-A to try their Peach Milkshake! Not to be confused with the Peach Frosted Lemonade—which I’ve enjoyed in the past, but for this flavor, the milkshake wins by a landslide! Creamy, sweet, and perfectly peachy. Sometimes you just need a fast-food fix, and this one hit the spot!

Stop 5: The Bakehouse

Man, this Roasted Peach and Salmon Salad from The Bakehouse was absolutely phenomenal! The perfectly seared salmon was nestled over a bed of local lettuce with julienned carrots, shaved onions, and a generous sprinkle of candied walnuts. But the true stars? The paprika- and coriander-roasted peach wedges and the white wine peach dressing—a pairing that brought the whole dish to life. Every bite was a burst of summer: sweet, savory, and so well-balanced.

Individual servings of peach dessert in clear plastic cups, each layered with vanilla cake, peach compote, coconut cream diplomat, and topped with peach buttercream and toasted coconut flakes. Each cup is garnished with a gold spoon and arranged on a serving tray.

This Peaches & Cream Cake from The Bakehouse was every bit as dreamy as it looks! Each cup featured layers of vanilla cake, a rich peach simple syrup, creamy coconut cream diplomat, and a swirl of luscious peach buttercream—all topped with toasted coconut for the perfect tropical finish. Sweet, light, and beautifully balanced—this was a standout dessert for Peach Week and the ideal way to end my "mini meal" on a high note!

A single pancake served on a white plate, topped with peach slices, candied pecans, and a glossy peach glaze. A dusting of powdered sugar decorates the pancake, and a small metal cup of whipped butter sits on the side. The dish rests on a wooden table.

Stop 6: Mason's

Next stop: Mason’s Restaurant & Grocery—and how could anyone resist these NC Peach Hotcakes? Soft, fluffy pancakes topped with bourbon pecan peaches, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar—each bite was bursting with Southern charm and peachy goodness. This dish is the definition of comfort food done right.

A glass of peach mimosa served in a wine glass, garnished with a thin slice of fresh peach. The drink sits on a wooden table surrounded by water glasses, a glass bottle, and other brunch items, with a blurred background of people dining.

They even served up Peach Mimosas—because what’s brunch without a little bubbly? Light, refreshing, and full of flavor… honestly, the perfect way to toast to Peach Week!

Did someone say brunch???

The patio features metal tables and chairs, striped umbrellas, potted plants, and string lights. A colorful mural decorates one side of the building, and the scene is set under a bright blue sky with scattered clouds.

Stop 7: High Octane

Next stop: High Octane—a vibrant, female-owned coffee shop and bar that serves up specialty drinks with flair, fun vibes, and a whole lot of personality.

Top-down view of two white paper cups on a bright yellow background. The top cup contains iced coffee with a visible ice cube, while the bottom cup holds a foamy, creamy beverage, possibly a smoothie or latte. The vibrant backdrop contrasts with the neutral tones of the drinks.

We were treated to a peach smoothie and an iced coffee—and thank goodness, because it was blazing outside and we were melting! These refreshing sips were precisely what we needed to cool down and power through the Peach Week fun!

A small clear glass filled with a hazy, golden peach beer, resting on a dark wooden table. The beer has a slight frothy edge, with a blurred background of a casual indoor dining setting.

Stop 8: Railhouse Brewery

Next up: Railhouse Brewery for a refreshing peach beer that hit the spot! Crisp, light, and perfectly fruity—this was the ideal way to wrap up a hot summer afternoon of peach-filled adventures. Cheers to craft brews and local flavor!

A peach-themed pizza served on a metal tray with a crispy, wood-fired crust. The pizza is topped with peach slices, dollops of creamy burrata cheese, and fresh herbs, likely finished with a balsamic drizzle. It sits on a red and white checkered tablecloth in a casual dining setting.

Stop 9: Pizzeria Grazia

The final stop on the Foodie Tour was one of my favorites—Pizzeria Grazia (I go there regularly with the family). Their limited-time Peach Pizza was a masterpiece: topped with peach purée, fresh local peaches, creamy burrata, basil, and finished with a raspberry white balsamic drizzle from The Pinehurst Olive Oil Company—sweet, savory, and totally summer in every bite.

Two women smiling and seated at a wooden table in a sunlit café. The woman on the left wears a wide-brimmed straw hat, oversized sunglasses, peach-shaped earrings, and a cream eyelet blouse. The woman on the right wears a red baseball cap, round sunglasses, and a teal shirt. Both rest their chins on their hands, enjoying a relaxed moment together.

But did we end the day there? Of course not! My friend Mariah and I had a bit more time, so we popped around the corner into The Workshop Tavern!

A close-up of a Peach Old Fashioned cocktail served in a cut-glass tumbler. The drink features a large ice cube, an orange peel, and a bourbon-soaked cherry garnish. It rests on a sunlit wooden table with a leather wallet or menu nearby.

Stop 10: The Workshop Tavern

To wrap up my Peach Week foodie tour, I sampled the Peach Old Fashioned from The Workshop Tavern—it's definitely Allie-approved! Crafted with Sergeant’s Valor Bourbon, peach nectar, and both aromatic and peach bitters, this cocktail was smooth, bold, and beautifully balanced. Served over a big ice cube with an orange peel and a homemade bourbon cherry, it was the perfect sip to end a sweet and savory adventure.

Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway

This wasn’t a personal stop of mine—but it was a highlight for my parents! They enjoyed a premium (and yes, somewhat pricey) dining experience aboard the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway during Peach Week.

The "Journey in Time" dinner featured a full peach-inspired menu, from a Peach & Goat Cheese Crostini amuse-bouche to a choice of seared pork tenderloin, Southern-style shrimp, or white cheddar mac & cheese with roasted cauliflower, all paired with elegant sides and topped off with a peach custard cookie and frozen custard dessert.

It was a true first-class experience—perfect for anyone looking to celebrate Peach Week in style!

Conclusion

Peach Week in Moore County was truly a celebration of creativity, community, and Carolina-grown flavor. From peach pizzas to peach cocktails, and everything in between, each stop brought its own delicious twist to the table. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this week-long event is the perfect excuse to explore the area, support small businesses, and savor the sweetest season of the year.

I may have started late this time, but you can bet I’ll be first in line next year—fork (and peach mimosa) in hand!
