"Small in size but bursting with festive delights—don't underestimate the charm of the Nikolausmarkt! Trust me, it serves up one of the best späetzle dishes I've ever had! 🎄✨ Embrace the magic of these smaller, more intimate Christmas Markets. They are often less crowded and have a more authentic feel, with an ample dash of holiday joy!"
Last year, I remember seeing an ice skating rink, but I don't recall seeing one this year. I think it is in a little bit of a different location as well.
Update: There is another market that is looking to open soon with the skating rink! It is called the Homburg Weihnachtsdorf and can be found at the Christian-Weber Platz. You can find the official website here: https://www.homburger-weihnachtsdorf.de/. It looks like the Nikolausmarkt goes until the 10th, and then the Weihnachtsdorf takes over until the 30th.

A few suggested parking lots:
🅿️ The one I used is the Gerberstraße 10 Parking. However, on a busy day/night, it most likely wouldn't be the best place to park.
🅿️ I usually park at the Enklerplatz, about a 7-minute walk away. It is a larger parking lot, and I almost always find a spot.
It's a lovely little market with, and from this angle, the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church peeks out above the surrounding buildings. ⛪
They have one swing ride for the kiddos. 👶
A few drink stands, but this is the main one. ☕🔥
The drink menu. 📖
Their mug seemed very generic, and I wasn't going to keep it at first. 🤔
Until I saw the inside! 😍
Update: I saw someone's recent post and Homburg apparently does have their own mug! I will have to go back and see if I can snag it!
Great food options, but as I mentioned above, my friend and I ordered a späetzle to share from the nudel stand, and wow! 😱🤩
I don't know if this is how big it always is, but it was huge! They also did not skimp on toppings! We both ate half of it at the market, then I took it home and reheated it the next day, and still couldn't finish it. I keep thinking about going back and getting some more. 💭
A little bit of shopping is available, but nothing crazy. I especially enjoyed this little craft hut found in the main section! ✂️🧵
It's probably very charming at night, with all the lights lit!
Especially this giant St. Nick! 🎅
Don't forget to visit this nativity on the side of Oh!lio.
